If you are an avid lover of seafood, Senses, the award winning fine dining restaurant at Hilton Kuala Lumpur, has revamped its ala carte menu for the next two months to feature “Friends of the Sea”, a seafood feast like no other.
Featuring seasonal delights like Spider Crabs, beautiful Hokkaido Scallops, Brittany Blue Lobster, a succulent variety of oysters like Denogal from Ireland, Creuse and Fin de Claire from France and Eight-Year-Old Oysters from New Zealand, delicious white fish offerings like French brill and Mediterranean Sea Bass, Short Neck and Razor Clams, Yabbies and Crawfish from Australia, and deliciously sweet mollusks like Sea Almonds, Sea Snails and Winkles, you will be spoilt for choice.
“All these wonderful seafood ingredients have been sourced from around the world and are air flown in on a fortnightly basis to ensure the utmost freshness,” said Chef Michael Elfwing, Chef de Cuisine of Senses. He explained that the ocean inspired menu will feature dishes prepared to best enhance the flavours and textures of the beautiful seafood on offer.
From lavish chilled seafood platters that allow guests to enjoy the “taste of the sea” without any embellishment to mouth-watering bisques and chowders, it is simply an opportunity to sample some of the finest seafood prepared by Chef Michael Elfwing. Expect unforgettable dishes such as the Mediterranean Sea Bass Fillet grilled to simple perfection with Garlic Scented Baby Spinach and Table Smoked Sea Prawns, Fragrant Shellfish Emulsion and indulgently rich dishes like Oven Baked Lobster with Butter & Cognac, served with Noirmountier Potatoes and Rosemary Cream Reduction. The “piece de resistance” has to be the Shellfish Tower Gourmand for 2 or more which features a Whole Blue Lobster cooked to your liking, chilled Tourteaux Crab, one dozen Oysters with half a dozen Sea Snails and Winkles and a lovely Clam Chowder to complete the meal.
Though the menu will strongly feature seafood for the promotion period, Senses will still offer a select number of non-seafood starters and entrees for guests who prefer alternatives.
The “Friends of the Sea” menu will be available from 1st June to 31st August 2012.
